The Balcombe Estate covers some 2750 acres of mixed farmland and woodland. Situated on the High Weald it forms part of the area of outstanding natural beauty. The estate woodlands are managed for sustainable timber production, with a heavy accent on wildlife conservation.

The Estate Sawmill has been producing sawn timber for a little over 50 years and has a reputation for high quality oak beams, unusual timbers and the ability to cut trees of up to 6’ in diameter and 40’ in length.

The sawmill is open to the trade and public and will cut almost any timber to your exact specifications.

The sawmill is also at the forefront of the renewable energy market, already supplying 30 homes and two commercial buildings with heating grade wood chip as well as hundreds of other domestic log customers.
